Denmark’s first hypercar statement

The Zenvo ST1 marked the arrival of Denmark as a serious player in the hypercar world. Revealed in 2009, it was the first production model from Zenvo Automotive and was created with the goal of delivering extreme performance through a lightweight, hand-built machine.

Unlike many established manufacturers, Zenvo developed the ST1 from the ground up with a focus on raw power and distinctive styling. The aggressive bodywork, carbon-fiber components and sharp aerodynamic details gave it a unique appearance unlike any other supercar of its era.

Twincharged V8 engineering

At the heart of the ST1 is a heavily modified American V8 engine. The 7.0-liter LS7-based unit uses both a supercharger and a turbocharger, creating a unique twincharged system that delivers strong power across the rev range.

The engine produces 1,104 horsepower and 1,430 Nm of torque, making the ST1 one of the most powerful road cars of its time. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a performance-focused gearbox designed to handle the enormous output.

Performance built for extreme speed

With more than 1,100 horsepower available, the Zenvo ST1 delivers performance figures normally associated with race cars. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in around three seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 375 km/h.

The mid-engine layout helps improve weight balance, while the rear-wheel-drive system provides an engaging driving experience. The ST1 was designed to feel mechanical and powerful rather than overly filtered by electronic systems.

Rare production and collector value

Production of the Zenvo ST1 was extremely limited, with only 15 examples built between 2009 and 2016. Each vehicle was hand-assembled, making it one of the rarest modern hypercars and an important milestone for Danish automotive engineering.

The ST1 gained worldwide attention because it represented a small manufacturer’s ambitious attempt to compete with established hypercar brands. Its rarity and unusual engineering approach have made it a memorable part of modern performance car history.
